Colt Serial Number Date Of Manufacture
Colt Model 1900 and 1902. At serial number 1001 to 1250. There was only 1 engraved 1900 manufactured serial number 885. There a are 7 guns with factory.
DaverZ, you call it a Series 80 1991A1. How is it marked on the right and left flats of the slide?
That info might help in nailing down the date. Pics would be good too!

For example: It has been my understanding that the 'MK IV Series 80' moniker was only used on the left side of the slide from 1983 through 1991 (even though all the guns made after 1983 are still mechanically Ser. 80's on the inside, whether marked or not). Then in 1991 they started using the '1991A1' in big bold lettering (like mine) on the left side. Then, years later on they went back to putting 'Series 80' markings on there, but this time on the right side in smaller lettering. I know this isn't date-specific, but thought it might help to narrow down the search range. 'Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel.
